When I talked to the designer Christian Metzner about the idea of neck pouches, mobile phone cases and lanyards, I had three inspirations/associations in my mind:
My first wallet was a neck pouch that I got when I started school and had space for my most important things, pocket money, ticket and my name and address, which my parents had written on the back in ink in case I got lost on the way to the new world.
The second inspiration is quite obvious and visible in everyday life, the mobile phone is getting closer and closer to us and one could get the impression that it is developing into a new limb.
The third, the collaboration with the German actor and artist Lars Eidinger, who wore a very beautiful ensemble of Prada in nylon at each of our meetings. I had the impression it would give him security to have all his essentials together.
It was a very beautiful, detailed and long process to develop a shape for PB 0110. As always with millimeter work, which Christian and our Czech partner do so well, in the end it always looks simple.
